mike's cd. "the sun will shine again"
This CD was made in 1997 as a result of an casual conversation between Mike and one of his guitar students, Ken Lee. As a result of this chat, Mike went into the studio in April 1997 with two of Asia's finest musicians, Don Ashley and Jojo Ignacio. Mike regards Don as the finest drummer he has ever played with and Jojo is a consummate bass guitarist from the Philippines. With these 2 top men backing him up, Mike was able to complete the album in one week.
Three of the songs in this collection were actually written as long ago as 1973 and remained undisturbed and unheard until the release of this album. The remainder were written in 1994 during a very wet Summer.
Due to the difficulty of finding a reliable keyboardist, Mike decided reluctantly to do the job himself in addition to doing all the lead/backup vocals and guitar tracks.
Many of his fans and guitar students are hoping that he can be persuaded to record another album, and Mike has said that this may be possible, although a release date remains somewhat elusive.
